STRUCTURE AND THE FORM OF RELEASE
1 litre of solution contains
Other components: water for an injection.
100, 200, 250 ml of solution in plastic PVC containers.
Aminocapronic Acid is considered as a substance inhibiting fibrinolysis. Blocking the plasminogen activator and partly repressing the effect of plasma. Aminocapronic Acid can expose specific styptic effect during bleeding associated with the increase of fibrinolysis.
Aminocapronic Acid is considered as an inhibitor of kinin (biogenic polypeptides generated in vivo from globules under the influence of callicrein). Aminocapronic Acid neutralizes the effect of trypsin and hyaluronidase, reduces the transmissivity of capillaries.
INIDICATIONS FOR ADMINISTRATION
Aminocapronic Acid Solution 5% is administered for the stoppage of bleeding during surgical interference and different morbid conditions during which the fibrinolysic intensity of blood and tissues increases, after operation in lungs, prostate glands, gasteral glands and thyroid glands. During premature normally located placenta, during long delay îf the dead fetus in the womb, during sharp liver disease, hypoplastic anemia, a after heart surgery and vessels, during extracorporeal blood circulation, burns, during operations in the area of ears, neck, nose and during nasal bleeding, during varicose vein arthropathy with hemorrhagic syndrome (gastrointestinal bleeding, urinary bladder bleeding etc.) Aminocapronic Acid is as well administered for warning secondary fibrinogen during mass transfusion of blood.
Administered intravenously for adults up to 100 ml in drop infusion with controlled rate (50-60 drop/min) in for about 15-30 min. During the first hours it is recommended to inject 4-5 g (80-100 ml) of preparation, and afterwards if necessary about 1g (20 ml) per hour in the course of about 8 hours or till the full stoppage of bleeding. In case of continuous bleeding the injeciton of 5% solution is repeated every 4 hours. During sharp fibrinolysis when the fibriogenic composition of blood falls the administration of the preparation is exceeded.
In certain cases there could be observed raised individual sensitivity towards the preparation, which is expressed by dizziness nausea, diarrhoea, skin irritations, spasm. In cases like this it is necessary to reduce the dose of the preparation.
The administration of Aminocapronic acid solution 5% is contraindicated when there is a tendency to clottage, kidney disease when kidneys are not functioning, during pregnancy, during disorder of cerebral blood circulation, bleeding of respiratory tract etc.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
During prescription of Aminocapronic Solution 5% it is necessary to check fibrinolytic activity of blood and the content of fibrinogen. Intravenous injection of the preparation is recommended to carry out under the control of coagulogramma. Extra careful control should be carried out with patients having heart and liver disorder.
STORAGE CONDITIONS AND SHELF LIFE
The preparation should be stored at temperature 0 - +20oÑ. Expiry date of the intravenous solution - 2 years.
